The person behind the work.

I am Lukas Stepanek, an independent researcher and builder based in Vienna and usually working on European time. Online I use krooksn / krx in some corners of the internet.

Most of my work sits around AI and machine learning: local inference, autonomous agents, practical research tools, and the constraints that appear when ideas have to run on real machines. I care about open-source work and hope to make useful contributions to the AI/ML community over time.

Computers take a lot of my attention, but I do not want them to take the whole shape of life. Books, family, friends, and time away from the screen matter too. I want serious technical work, and a life that still has texture outside it.
